Ingredients

  • Stollen Bites~
  • 1 cup dark and golden raisins
  • 1/4 cup candied orange peel
  • 1/8 cup candied lemon peel
  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 1 envelope yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • zest from 1 lemon
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 14 T sweet, unsalted butter, soften
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 t ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 t ground cardamom
  • 1/3 cup whole almonds, blanched, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 stick (1 cup) butter, melted
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
