Christmas Eggnog French Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 c. eggnog-flavored skim lowfat milk
  • 1 x egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 6 x croissants
  • 3 Tbsp. butter

Directions

  1. In a shallow bowl, mix the eggnog, and and cinnamon. stirring well.
  2. Slice the croissants lengthwise.
  3. Heat one Tbsp. of butter in a skillet or possibly on a griddle.
  4. Dip 1 croissant half in the batter and place in the griddle. Repeat with the remaining halves. Cook on each side for 1 to 1 1/2 min, or possibly till golden. Use remaining butter as needed. Remove to a serving platter.
  5. Serve at once with hot maple syrup.
