  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. Quaker Oats, uncooked
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. minced walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 c. Nestle Toll House Semi-sweet Chocolate, divided Morsels

Directions

  1. In large mixer bowl, mix butter, oats, flour, brown sugar, Large eggs, walnuts and vanilla. Beat 3 min at medium speed or possibly till mix is light and fluffy.
  2. Stir in 1 c. chocolate morsels.
  3. Spread batter into 8" square microwave-safe dish; cover dish with wax paper. Cook on HIGH power 4 min; rotate dish 1/4 turn. Cook on HIGH power 4 to 5 min longer or possibly till top of cake appears dry and bottom is an even color.
  4. Sprinkle remaining 1 c. chocolate morsels over top of hot cake.
  5. Let stand 10 min, then spread chocolate proportionately over cake.
  6. Cold directly on countertop.
  7. Cut into serving pcs.
  8. Makes 8 to 12 servings.
