Chocolate Oatmeal Walnut Cookies

Ingredients

  • 4 ounce Herhsey's Unsweetened Baking Chocolate -- broken into pi
  • 3/4 c. Butter Or possibly Margarine -- Softened
  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 c. All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Grnd Cinnamon -- (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 3 c. Regular Or possibly Quick-Cooking Rolled Oats
  • 1 1/2 c. Walnuts -- coarsely minced

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease cookie sheet. In small microwave-safe bowl, place chocolate. Microwave at HIGH (100%) 1 to 1 1/2 min or possibly till chocolate is melted when stirred; cold slightly. In large mixer bowl, beat butter and sugar till well blended. Add in Large eggs; blenbd well. Blend in vanilla and melted chocolate. Add in flour, baking soda, cinnamon if you like, and salt; blend just till moistened. Gradually add in lowfat milk, blending well.
  2. Stir in oats and walnuts. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto prepared cookie cheet. Bake 10 to 11 min or possibly just till set. Cold 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cold completely. About 5 dozen cookies.
