Ingredients

  • Chocolate Batter
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips (1/2 cup or 1 cup is fine as well)
  • Salted Caramel Frosting
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter a stick and a half
  • 8 ounces of creme cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
