This recipe actually uses a cake mix, but bear with me...it tastes as if it were made from scratch.

  • Full box Dassant Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease bottom and halfway up sides of a standard 8x8x2 pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Mix
  3. Combine eggs, oil, and water. Add mix. Blend together until batter is smooth, approximately 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Pan
  5. Pour batter into pan and spread, filling corners and leveling top.
  6. Oven
  7. Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Storage suggestion: 4 to 5 days in refrigerator covered with plastic wrap.
