  1. 1. Heat oven to 350F (180C). Grease 8 x 8 x 2-inch (2 L)
  2. pan with Golden brown Crisco Shortening. Set aside.
  3. 2. Cream Golden brown Crisco Shortening, sugar, egg, lowfat milk and vanilla in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer till well blended. Reduce speed to low. Add in flour. Stir in one c. (250 mL) chocolate chips and 1/2 c. (125 mL) nuts.
  4. Spread in pan.
  5. 3. Bake at 350F (180C) for 25 to 30 min, or possibly till lightly browned. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with one c.
  6. (250 mL) chocolate chips. Wait 5 min, or possibly till chips soften. Spread proportionately. Sprinkle with 1/4 c. (50 mL) nuts.
  7. Cold completely. Cut into 2 x 2-inch (5 cm x 5 cm) squares.
  8. Hint: Semi-sweet chocolate chips can be used in place of lowfat milk chocolate.
  9. Makes: 16 squares
  10. Preparation Time: 15minutes.
  11. Baking Time: 25 to 30 min
