Chocolate cheese cake brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 package (4 ounce) German Sweet Chocolate
  • 3 tbs butter
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (your choice I use pecans)
  • Filling
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 package (3 oz) Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, melt chocolate and butter on low heat until smooth, remove from heat, set aside
  2. In a small mixing bowl, beat eggs, slowly adding sugar, beating until thick and light yellow
  3. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt, add to egg mixture and mixed well
  4. Stir in extracts and melted chocolate
  5. Add nuts
  6. Pour half the batter into a greased 8 inch baking pan, set aside
  7. Filling
  8. In another small mixing bowl, beat the butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy
  9. Add eggs, flour and vanilla , mix well
  10. Pour over batter in pan
  11. Spoon remaining batter over filling
  12. With a knife cut through batter to create marbled effect
  13. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  14. Cool on rack and then cut in to squares store in refrigerator
