Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. German chocolate mix (Betty Crocker with pudding)
  • 1/2 c. softened butter
  • 1 (14 ounce.) pkg. caramels
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. cream
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1/2 c. butter

Directions

  1. GLAZE: 1/2 c. creamy deluxe chocolate ready to spread frosting. Add in water by the tsp. till reach consistency.
  2. Mix cake mix, soft butter, egg. Reserve 1 1/2 c.. Press remaining in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min. Cold 10 min. Heat butter, lowfat milk, caramel on low heat till caramels heat. Pour over crust and sprinkle nuts and rest of mix. Bake 25 to 30 min. Drizzle glaze. Loosen edges and chill one hour. Cut into bars.
  3. NOTE: Makes 36 bars.
