Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. dry sherry or possibly water
  • 1/8 teaspoon grnd ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 4 tbsp. packaged bread crumbs
  • 4 lean loin pork chops, well trimmed (about 1 lb.)

Directions

  1. Spray a nonstick jelly roll pan with cooking spray for no fat frying. Beat egg, soy sauce, sherry, ginger and garlic pwdr together in a pie plate. Sprinkle bread crumbs on a sheet of wax paper. Dip the chops into the egg mix, then press into bread crumbs, coating proportionately on both sides. Arrange in a single layer on pan.
  2. Bake in a moderate (350 degree) oven for 30 min. Turn and bake 20 min longer, or possibly till chops are tender and show no pink. Don't overcook. Makes 4 servings at 267 calories each.
