Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. Oil
  • 1 x Onion, minced
  • 1 x Clove garlic, crushed
  • 500 gm Lean chopped beef, (1lb)
  • 1 x 397 gram can minced tomatoes, (14oz)
  • 1 x 432 gram can red kidney beans, liquid removed and rinsed (15.25z)
  • 1 x Green pepper, deseeded and minced
  • 1 x Fresh green chilli, deseeded and finely minced JS Mexican Choice Chilli Con Carne mix
  • 125 ml Water, (4oz) Salt and freshly grnd black pepper
  • 12 x Taco shells, to serve

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan, add in onion and garlic and cook till soft.
  2. Add in the chopped beef and cook till browned.
  3. Stir in the tomatoes, red kidney beans, green pepper and minced green chilli.
  4. Add in the Chilli Con Carne Mix and water and stir well. Bring to the boil and simmer for 30 min, stirring occasionally. Season to taste.
  5. Heat the tacos following the pack instructions and fill with the Chilli Con Carne. Serve immediately with various toppings.
  6. NOTES : These crunchy tacos contain a rich and savoury chilli, top with lowfat sour cream and shredded lettuce for a delicious supper.
