Ingredients

  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • Diced onion
  • 2 (16 ounce.) cans red kidney beans
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • Ketchup
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Chili pwdr
  • Basil
  • Oregano

Directions

  1. In large skillet, brown grnd beef and onion; drain well. Add in seasonings (according to taste), tomato sauce, and ketchup. Stir well and simmer. Open cans of kidney beans and drain well. Add in to skillet and return to simmer. Just before serving, placed grated Cheddar cheese in bottom of bowls, add in chili, and top with more cheese. Serve with saltine crackers or possibly corn bread muffins.
