Ingredients

  • Favorite noodles or possibly dumpling recipe
  • 3 pound chicken, cut in bite-sized pcs
  • 2 whole onions, minced
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 7 c. cool water
  • 2 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon or possibly broth
  • 2 teaspoon Mrs. Dash
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 carrots, cut in 1" circles
  • 2 stalks celery, cut in 1" diagonals
  • 2 tbsp. fresh parsley, minced

Directions

  1. In a large pan, heat butter, brown chicken and onions till golden brown. Add in water, salt, pepper and chicken flavor. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 min. Add in carrots and celery; cook, covered, till chicken and vegetables are done (40 min). Skim off fat from broth. Boil, add in noodles or possibly dumplings and cook till al dente. Ladle into soup bowls and garnish with fresh parsley. Makes 4-6 servings.
