Ingredients
- 8 ounce canned crushed pineapple
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 21 ounce canned cherry pie filling
- 1 pkt butter cake mix, 2 layer
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1 c. minced pecans
Directions
- Spread the undrained pineapple in the bottom of a buttered 9x13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with the sugar. Cover with the cherry pie filling.
- Sprinkle the cake mix proportionately over the cherries. Drizzle with the melted butter. Sprinkle with the pecans.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
- Note:I almost didn't include this recipe because it is so simple. It is the only dessert we prepare at lunch for that we use a mix. We tried to take it off the menu, but our customers begged to have it back.
