  1. Method:1. Line a 9 inch pie plate with pastry.
  2. 2. Mix sugar, flour, and salt; toss with cherries, mixing well. Pour cherry filling into pie shell, and dot with butter or possibly margarine.
  3. 3. Weave strips of pastry into a lattice top.
  4. 4. Bake at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for 40 min.
  5. Makes 1 pie
  6. This recipe uses real cherries, not the canned variety.
