  • 2 pkt (3-ounce) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 pkt (6-ounce) Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels, divided
  • 1/2 c. Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels, reserved from 6-oz package
  • 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/3 c. Vegetable oil
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 c. Water Confectioners'sugar

Directions

  1. Filling: In medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, egg and salt; beat till creamy. Stir in 1/2 c. Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels. Setaside.
  2. Cake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat over warm (not boiling) water, remaining 1/2 c. Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels; stir till smooth. Remove from heat; set aside. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine sugar, vegetable oil, egg and vanilla extract; beat well. Stir in melted morsels. Gradually beat in flour mix alternately with water. Spoon 1/2 of batter into 16 paper-lined cupcake pans. Spoon 1 slightly rounded Tbsp. Filling over batter. Spoon remaining batter over Filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 23-25 min. Cold 5 min; remove from pans. Cold completely on wire racks.
  3. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
  4. Makes 16 cupcakes.
