Ingredients

  • 6 ounce (3/4 c.) Water @ 90-100* F
  • 1 lrg Egg
  • 2 3/4 c. Bread Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly Margarine, (I have used 2TBSP)
  • 2 tsp Active Dry Yeast -Or possibly-
  • 1 1/2 tsp Bread Machine/Fast Rise Yeast
  • 3/4 c. Shredded "Sharp" Cheddar Cheese - Frzn

Directions

  1. Add in luke hot water and egg to pan. Add in flour, salt and sugar. Tap pan to settle dry ingredients and push some to the mix into corners. Divide butter or possibly margarine into fourths and place in each corner.
  2. Make a well in center of dry ingredients and add in yeast. Lock pan into place. Set program to Basic and Light Crust. A darker crust will give it a cooked cheese taste.
  3. Add in frzn cheese when alert sounds during the kneading program. I like this when it is barely cold and freshly sliced with butter. My kids like it toasted.
