Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. hot water
  • 4 pkt dry rapid rise yeast (1 ounce each)
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 8 c. flour up to 9 c.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 x Large eggs lightly beaten
  • 4 Tbsp. corn or possibly vegetable oil GLAZE
  • 1 x egg yolk
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 c. sesame or possibly poppy seeds

Directions

  1. Mix sugar, yeast & 1/2 c. water together in small bowl & set aside in large mixer bowl, add in 5 c. flour & salt. Fold in yeast mix, remaining water, Large eggs & oil. Add in remaining flour to make a smooth dough. Knead on floured surface & let rise till double in size/ Repeat. Knead & divide dough in half & divide each half into 3 pcs. Form dough into a braid & let rise till doubled.
  2. Combine yolkd & water & brush loeaves with mix. Cover with seeds. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 min or possibly till golden brown.
  3. Makes 2 loaves.
