Ingredients

  • 1 c. small-curd cottage cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lrg egg
  • 1 Tbsp. minced fresh (or possibly 1 tspn dry parsley)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1 pkt pepperoni slices - (3.5 ounce) minced, see * Note
  • 4 x Monterey Jack cheese slices minced
  • 2 can refrigerated pizza crusts - (10 ounce ea)
  • 2 c. Pasta Sauce (see recipe)

Directions

  1. Note: Minced cooked ham may be substituted for pepperoni slices.
  2. Stir together first 5 ingredients till blended. Stir in pepperoni and minced cheese slices.
  3. Divide each pizza crust into 2 portions. Roll each dough portion into a 7-inch circle.
  4. Spoon 1/2 c. cottage cheese mix in center of each circle. Fold dough over filling, pressing edges to seal; place on a lightly greased aluminum foil-lined baking sheet. Prick dough several times with a fork.
  5. Bake at 375 degreesfor 20 to 25 min or possibly till golden brown. Let stand 5 min. Serve calzones with hot Pasta Sauce.
  6. This recipe yields 4 servings.
