Cajun Shrimps

The easiest shrimp appetizer that is a perfect blend of savory, spicy and smoky flavors. Serve it with a crusty, buttered bread to please any shrimp loving crowd.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Medium shrimps deveined, shells and tails removed
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano leaves
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Red chilli flakes
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper powder
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Once heated, add cleaned shrimps and saute for a couple minutes.
  2. Add all the spice powders one by one. Add a tablespoon of water to ensure the spices don’t burn.
  3. Mix well and let the shrimps cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes taking care not to overcook them.
  4. Add the butter, mix well and remove from the heat once the shrimps are cooked.
  5. Serve hot with buttered toast!
