Directions

  1. Soften yeast in warm water. Heat buttermilk on stove till separated. Take off stove and add in shortening, sugar and salt - let cool. Add in soda and yeast. Add in egg. Add in 1/2 of flour. Beat. Add in rest of flour. Set 15 min on a board with towel over. Roll and cut. Raise 45 min. Bake 350 degrees, 25 min.
