Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 T shortening
- 3 T sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 3 c. flour
Directions
- Soften yeast in warm water. Heat buttermilk on stove till separated. Take off stove and add in shortening, sugar and salt - let cool. Add in soda and yeast. Add in egg. Add in 1/2 of flour. Beat. Add in rest of flour. Set 15 min on a board with towel over. Roll and cut. Raise 45 min. Bake 350 degrees, 25 min.
