Ingredients

  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 bunch broccoli, minced using both sm. stems & flowerettes
  • 1 red sweet onion, cut up or possibly sliced thin
  • 1 c. celery, minced
  • 8 ounce. bacon fried crisp & crumbled
  • 1 c. Miracle Whip (light) or possibly any salad dressing
  • 2 tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. almonds, sliced (optional)

Directions

  1. Cover raisins with boiling water and let set for 30 min, drain and let dry. In large bowl, combine raisins, broccoli, onion, celery, bacon and almonds.
  2. In separate bowl, combine salad dressing, sugar and vinegar; pour over broccoli mix. Mix well and refrigeratefor several hrs or possibly overnight.
  3. Note: May use any prepared salad dressing. Serves 8.
