Ingredients
- 2 x Idaho potatoes
- 3 x Yukon Gold Potatoes
- 1 x sweet potato
- 3 ounce asiago cheese grated
- 2 ounce sweet onion (such as Vidalia)
Directions
- Slice thinly on meat slicer or possibly mandolin, all potatoes. Grease or possibly pan spray 8-inch loaf pan.
- Beginning with Idahos, layer bottom of pan, slightly overlapping. Top with thin layer of onion followed by cheese. Repeat process with Yukon Golds and sweet potato till reaching 1 inch from top of pan.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and fill second bread pan with dry beans (this pan will be used as a weight on top of the potato pan). Place potato pan with weight pan on top, in center oven rack. Bake for 45 min till potatoes are tender.
- Remove from oven and cold under refrigeration for 4 hrs till cool. Carefully remove from bread pan and slice into 1 1/2-inch segments. Reheat in oven.
- Comments: Pave is French for pavement or possibly paving stone, such as the shape and look of this final product.
