Ingredients
- 25-30 med. size cucumbers, sliced thin
- 2 lg. sweet peppers, sliced or possibly minced
- 8 lg. onions
- 1/2 c. pickling salt
- 5 c. cider vinegar
- 5 c. sugar
- 2 teaspoon mustard seed
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
Directions
- Combine cucumbers, onion, and peppers and salt. Add in ice cubes. Let stand 3 hrs. Drain. Combine vinegar, sugar, spices in a large kettle. Bring to a boil. Add in liquid removed cucumbers. Heat thoroughly but don't boil. Pack while warm into sterilized jars and seal.
