Bread Baking Babes are celebrating spring with a twist – braided Romanian Easter Bread.

And I can’t wait to tell one of my fellow students in French school…. She and her husband are from Romania!

Elle, of Feeding My Enthusiasms, and our host kitchen this month decided we should celebrate both Easter and spring.

From what I’ve read of the Babe’s accounts of making this lovely, sweet braid it did have a lot of spring. (Oven spring)

Some of them (the Babes, not the bread) are actually seeing the first signs of spring in their northern kitchens.

According to Elle, the bread has as many variations as there are Romanian kitchens.

Which is perfect for the Babes since none of them can follow directions they…
