Directions

  1. Combine cucumbers and onions; sprinkle with salt and cover with cracked ice. Cover with a heavy lid and let stand for 3 hrs. Drain thoroughly and rinse well with cool water. Place in a large kettle. Add in rest of ingredients and bring almost to a boil, stirring constantly. Don't boil. Pack at once into warm sterilized jars and seal. Process in warm water bath for 5 min.
