Brandied Fruit Muffins Or Loaf Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 c. golden brown raisins
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 stk margarine
  • 3 1/2 c. flour or possibly more
  • 2 x teas baking soda
  • 2 x teas cinnamon
  • 1 x tea nutmeg
  • 1/2 x tea clove
  • 1/2 x tea salt
  • 2 c. minced nuts
  • 2 c. brandied fruit, liquid removed and minced

Directions

  1. Boil raisins, sugar, water and margarine together and cold.
  2. When cold, pour over remaining ingredients. Pour into muffin tins or possibly loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees, 25 min for muffins, 1 hour for cakes.
  3. Makes 4 dozen muffins or possibly 3 small loaf cakes.
