Bow Tie Noodle Casserole

This recipe makes too much sauce. You don't have to use it all.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 2 16 oz. cans tomatoes
  • 2 6 oz. cans tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 TBSP sugar
  • 2 TBSP parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 6 cups bow tie noodles, cooked

Directions

  1. Brown beef.
  2. Add onions, celery and garlic.
  3. Cook until tender but not brown.
  4. Add everything but the noodles.
  5. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
  6. Skim off excess fat.
  7. Serve over hot noodles or put in a casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
