A Bourbon Peach Smash is the perfect cocktail to transition from Summer and a way to welcome Fall. Bourbon Peach Smash   Save Print Prep time Total time   Author: Marlene Baird Serves: 1 Ingredients 2 drunken peach slices 3 or 4 fresh mint leaves 1 lemon wedge 1 ounce water ½ ounce drunken peach syrup or simple syrup 2 ounces bourbon ice garnish: 1 sprig mint a peach slice or a lemon slice Directions Muddle all ingredients except bourbon in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and bourbon. Shake and strain into an ice-filled glass and garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of mint. Marlene Says You can still make this delicious cocktail without a drunken peach. Add an additional ½ ounce of bourbon per drink and you are good to go. But darn it.  I had to wait long enough for these drunken peaches to soak up the bourbon. Fall is truly upon us.  But luckily for me, I canned some peaches that are soaking in bourbon. There is nothing better than coming home and watching the sun set with the last few rays of the day while sipping on this delicious Bourbon Peach Smash.  While we must say goodbye to all that fresh summer produce, we are happy to make way for all that great fall produce.  Squash recipes will be all over the net in the next month or so.
