Boston Cream Cheesecake

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 (1 ounce.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 (8 ounce.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 c. lowfat sour cream
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Grease bottom of 9 inch springform pan. Prepare cake mix to package direction. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min. Combine cream cheese, sugar and vanilla, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer. Add in Large eggs one at a time. Blend in lowfat sour cream, pour over cake layer.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min. Loosen cake from rim. Cold before removing rim. Bring water to boil, remove from heat. Heat chocolate with butter over low heat till smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. Add in water and remaining ingredients, mix well. Spread over cheesecake. Refrigerateseveral hrs. Garnish with strawberries or possibly cherries if you like.
