  1. Combine in large saucepan, sugar, raisins, shortening, water, 1 tsp. baking soda and cinnamon; boil 20 min. Cold. Add in heavy cream, flour, baking pwdr, 1 tsp. soda and minced nuts; blend thoroughly. Pour into greased and floured 9x13-inch baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till cake tests done. Cold and top with white butter frosting, or possibly as desired.
