Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour buttermilk vegetable oil

Directions

  1. For a 9" cake pan of biscuits (about 10), put two c. flour in a bowl.
  2. Fold in sufficient buttermilk so which it holds together but is not dry (the wetter the better). Drop this mix onto a floured surface and pat it out till it's about 3/4 inch thick. Cut out biscuits and place in greased pan. Put a light coat of vegetable oil on tops of biscuits (maybe you can use a "Pam"-type spray, I've never tried it). Bake in 350 oven for about 15 min.
  3. NOTES : I spent the first 33 years of my life (all but the last year)
  4. living near Memphis, TN, where biscuits are required at every meal. Please note which you have to use a very soft, fine flour.
  5. I only use "WR" brand.
