Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter -- softened
  • 1/2 c. butter flavored shortening
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp grnd cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 c. rolled oats
  • 1 c. raisins

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, butter flavored shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, Large eggs and vanilla till smooth. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt; stir into the sugar mix. Stir in the oats and raisins. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 min till light and golden brown. Don't over-bake. Let them cold for 2 min before removing from cookie sheets to cold completely. Store in airtight container.
