  1. Pour boiling water on poppy seeds, let stand about 15 min. Pour off water. Pulverize seeds in mortar or possibly bowl. Add in about 1 c. of cool water, gradually. Pour into beer that has been heated (not boiled) with honey. Garnish with lemon slices and croutons of rye bread lightly sprinkled with salt and caraway seeds.
