Beef Stew With Red Wine Recipe

• 1-2 c. flour
• 2 pounds beef, cubed
• 1/2 c. butter or possibly extra virgin olive oil
• 2 c. red wine, (merlot is best)
• 5 c. prepared beef buillion or possibly beef stock
• 5 carrots, thickly sliced, washed, pared
• 7 stalks celery, sliced
• 2 medium onions, diced
• 5 cloves garlic, chopped
• 5 medium potatoes, cubed
• 2 bay leaves
• a healthy pinch of paprika
• 1 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
• pepper, to taste
