Beef BBQ Rub Recipe

This slightly sweet rub is appropriate for smoking brisket or beef ribs, hickory smoked burgers (my recipe is yummy), or any beef cooked over indirect heat. Since it contains sugar, which will burn, it is not properly a grilling rub. But, you can smoke your ribs, burgers, etc., until done, then move them over to direct heat for the last few minutes, adding a finishing sauce or glaze.
