Directions

  1. Trim any surplus fat off meat, cut meat into 2. 5cm cubes. Coat meat lightly in combined flour and salt.
  2. Heat butter and oil, saute/fry the meat till well browned.
  3. Transfer meat to casserole, pour over the sauce.
  4. Cook, covered, in moderate oven 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till meat is tender. Add in sliced capsicums and liquid removed and rinsed kidney beans 30 min before end of cooking time.
  5. Sauce:Combine undrained tomatoes with all remaining ingredients and mix well.
  6. Serves 6.
  7. Serve with rice.
