,%20and%20after%20making%20a%20batch%20of%20the%20creamy%20version%20yesterday,%20I%20realized%20I%E2%80%99d%20never%20shared%20it%20with%20you!%20Problem%20solved.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGiven%20everything%20I%20just%20told%20you%20about%20my%20love%20of%20Primanti%20Brothers%20sandwiches,%20you%20probably%20won%E2%80%99t%20be%20surprised%20to%20find%20out%20that%20the%20number%20one%20reason%20I%20make%20coleslaw%20at%20home%20is%20to%E2%80%A6%20put%20it%20on%20sandwiches.%20I%20made%20a%20batch%20about%20a%20month%20ago%20to%20put%20on%20sandwiches%20with%20barbecued%20chicken%20that%20I%20had%20made%20in%20the%20Crock-Pot,%20and%20this%20week%20I%20made%20a%20batch%20for%20pastrami%20sandwiches.%20My%20husband%20and%20I%20both%20love%20pseudo-Reuben%20sandwiches.%20I%20say%20pseudo%20because%20instead%20of%20corned%20beef%20we%20use%20pastrami,%20and%20instead%20of%20sauerkraut,%20we%20use%20coleslaw.%20The%20bread%20is%20slathered%20in%20Thousand%20Island%20dressing%20and%20Swiss%20cheese%20is%20added,%20then%20I%20butter%20and%20griddle%20them%20in%20a%20cast%20iron%20skillet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESince%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20eat%20lunchmeat%20right%20now%20(I%20know,%20I%20can%20heat%20it,%20but%20it%E2%80%99s%20not%20the%20same,%20I%20prefer%20to%20just%20skip%20it),%20I%20made%20mine%20sans%20meat,%20but%20oh%20my,%20the%20smell%20of%20that%20pastrami%20when%20I%20was%20making%20my%20husband%E2%80%99s%20sandwich%20was%20intoxicating!%20I%20wanted%20to%20dive%20head-first%20into%20the%20deli%20bag.%20A%20pastrami%20Primanti%E2%80%99s%20sandwich%20might%20just%20be%20the%20first%20thing%20I%20eat%20after%20I%20give%20birth.%20Write%20it%20down.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow,%20back%20to%20the%20coleslaw%E2%80%A6%20I%20love%20it%20because%20it%E2%80%99s%20creamy%20but%20not%20in%20that%20gloppy%20mayonnaise-y%20way.%20I%20highly%20recommend%20refrigerating%20it%20for%20two%20hours%20before%20eating%20it;%20it%20gives%20the%20dressing%20time%20to%20all%20meld%20together.%20When%20you%20first%20mix%20it%20together,%20it%20will%20seem%20way%20too%20high%20on%20vinegar,%20but%20once%20it%E2%80%99s%20had%20a%20chance%20to%20sit,%20all%20of%20the%20flavors%20balance%20out%20perfectly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhether%20you%20eat%20it%20as%20a%20side%20dish%20or%20on%20sandwiches,%20this%20is%20such%20an%20easy,%20basic%20coleslaw%20dressing%20to%20keep%20tucked%20away%20for%20whipping%20up%20a%20batch%20in%20a%20hurry.%20No%20store-bought%20bottle%20necessary!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOne%20year%20ago:%20Thin%20Crust%20Pizza%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETwo%20years%20ago:%20Homemade%20Tropical%20Trail%20Mix%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThree%20years%20ago:%20Buttermilk%20Doughnuts%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFour%20years%20ago:%20Savory%20Corn%20and%20Pepper%20Muffins%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFive%20years%20ago:%20Ultimate%20Ginger%20Cookies%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESix%20years%20ago:%20Strawberry%20Mirror%20Cake%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBasic%20Creamy%20Coleslaw%20Dressing%20Recipe%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYield:%206%20to%208%20servings%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrep%20Time:%205%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETotal%20Time:%205%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBuy%20a%20bag%20of%20shredded%20cabbage%20and%20carrots%20and%20you%20can%20have%20coleslaw%20in%205%20minutes!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20In%20a%20medium%20bowl,%20whisk%20together%20the%20mayonnaise,%20vinegar,%20sugars,%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20Add%20the%20cabbage%20mixer%20a%20handful%20at%20a%20time,%20stirring%20to%20combine%20the%20dressing%20before%20adding%20more%20cabbage.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Refrigerate%20for%20at%20least%202%20hours%20before%20serving.%20Leftovers%20can%20be%20stored%20in%20an%20airtight%20container%20in%20the%20refrigerator%20for%20up%20to%203%20days.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
