Basic Chocolate Cookie Mix Recipe

  • 4 c. Flour, all-purpose
  • 4 c. Sugar
  • 1 1/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 c. Margarine or possibly butter


  1. Combine thoroughly flour, sugar, cocoa, baking pwdr, and salt in a large bowl. An electric mixer on slow speed can be used for mixing. ) Add in butter Or possibly solid margarine; cut in with a pastry blender or possibly with hands till mix resembles coarse cornmeal. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.
  2. NOTE: After refrigeration, measure amount of mix needed; bring to room temperature for easier blending.
  3. YIELD: Approximately 11 c.
