Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 x egg
  • 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. minced onions
  • 1/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 x clove garlic chopped
  • 1/2 tsp chili pwdr optional
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 bot mild taco sauce (8 ounce) or possibly 12 ounce jar chili sauce or possibly ketchup
  • 1 jar grape jelly (about 8 ounce)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Dijon or possibly prepared mustard

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine grnd beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, lowfat milk, garlic and chili pwdr; mix well. Shape into about 45 1-inch balls. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat till oil sizzles, about 1 minute. Add in meatballs. Brown on all sides. In a small bowl, combine sauce ingredients. Add in to meatballs. Stir gently to coat meatballs. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook covered till meatballs are done through.
