Directions

  1. Pre heat your oven to 150 degrees on fan back, and grease a medium sized cake tin with a bit of melted butter.
  2. Beat sugar and butter in a bowl until well combined, and add eggs one at a time.
  3. Stir mashed bananas into the mixture.
  4. Mix baking soda boiling milk, until dissolved, then add to the mixture.
  5. Fold in the flour (pre-sifted) and mix until well combined, and there are no lumps.
  6. Transfer the mixture into the baking tin and bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Test readiness by inserting a knife to see if it comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool.
  8. ICING
  9. Beat butter and vanilla essence in a bowl using a mixer for about 4 minutes, until butter is light.
  10. Add the icing sugar to the butter slowly while beating slowly.
  11. Add cocoa and boiling water, beat until light and creamy.
