Ingredients

  • 1 c. Granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 c. Shortening (half butter, half Crisco)
  • 2 x Ripened bananas (bananas should feel slightly squishy)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 c. Sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 c. Minced walnuts

Directions

  1. 1. Cream the first five ingredients in mixer.
  2. 2. Add in flour and baking soda to creamed mix. (nuts are also added if you like)
  3. 3. Pour dough in greased loaf tin.
  4. 4. Bake at 350'F for 45-60 min.
  5. Yield 1 loaf. Sent from the Washington
