Directions

  1. Prepare a baking dish with non-fat cooking spray, or possibly a light coating of margarine. The dish should be large sufficient to hold whiting fillets in one layer. Sprinkle mushrooms and scallions over the bottom of the dish. Season the fish with salt and pepper and sprinkle wine and lemon juice over all. Top with grated cheese and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Pour melted margarine proportionately over the topping.
  2. Cover and bake at 400 degrees for 7 min. Uncover and bake another 5 min, or possibly till topping is golden.
  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
