Directions

  1. Heat butter blend in flour. Measure broth from mushrooms, add in chicken broth/stock or possibly bouillon to make one cup. Add in to butter and butter and stir till smooth and thick. Add in onion pwdr, pepper, Worcestershire sauce (curry or possibly poultry seasoning and parsley flakes). Salt to taste and bring to boil. Add in chopped onions and chicken or possibly turkey, bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Add in 1 egg at a time, stirring constantly.Spread in shallow pan and refrigerate till hard sufficient to handle. Shape in large balls, cones or possibly squares. Roll in bread crumbs. Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min. Serve with chicken gravy or possibly white sauce. Delicious with green peas and/or pimientos added to white sauce. Freezes well.

    Tried because it was done in oven and not fried. Altered it slightly, added more parley and 1/4c of italian grated cheese, no mushroom. Tempered eggs before adding to rue then added the grated cheese, chopped chicken (did not grind) & parsley. Put in refrig till cold 1-2 hrs., removed from frig, using two table spoons to shape and coat in panko bread crumbs. Put on cookie sheet w/parchment paper sprayed each with PAM placed into 425 oven for 45 min. Test doneness with toothpick or pressing with finger feeling for firmness. Original receipe I would only give 2 stars no taste and not brown or crispy needs panko, spray PAM and higher temp
