Ingredients

  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. skim lowfat milk
  • 1 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 slc whole wheat bread cubed
  • 2 sm apples pared and diced Topping:
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp diet margarine
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Spray two 5x3 inch loaf pans with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. To make toast, lightly beat Large eggs. Add in lowfat milk, brown sugar and cinnamon; stir to blend. Add in bread cubes and apples, stirring gently; let stand till bread has absorbed all liquid, 2-3 min.
  3. To prepare topping, combine flour, brown sugar, margarine and cinnamon with fork.
  4. Divide the bread mix proportionately between the prepared loaf pans; sprinkle each proportionately with topping. Bake 35-40 min, or possibly till golden. allow to cold slightly and serve hot.
