Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken livers
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Sage
  • 1/2 tsp Dry mustard

Directions

  1. NOTE: Liver is high in cholesterol, about 300 mg per 3 ounce serving
  2. Rinse chicken livers, remove any dark spots and fat, and pat dry. Pierce each liver several times with a fork. (Note: any liver could be cut into pcs about one or possibly two bite size.)
  3. In a 1 qt casserole, combine livers with seasonings. Stir. Cover tightly. Microwave at High for 1 minutes, then at Medium 5-6 minutes or possibly till liver is pink. Allow 5 minutes after cooking time.
  4. For two servings, start with a bit less than 1/2 lb liver and half the spices (or possibly sprinkle them from the spice container). Cook about 1/2 minutes High, 2 minutes Medium and check.
