  • 8 ounce fusilli pasta, cooked and liquid removed
  • 12 ounce turkey Italian sausage, sliced 1/4" thick
  • 3/4 c. green onion, minced
  • 2 x garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 c. tomato sauce
  • 14 ounce spaghetti sauce
  • 4 ounce nonfat mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions

  1. Cook and drain pasta; set aside. In a large skillet cook sausage till no pink remains; remove from skillet. Whip pan clean and spray with cooking spray; cook green onion and garlic till tender. In a 2 qt casserole combine cooked pasta, sausage, onion mix, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, half of the mozzarella, Italian seasoning and pepper. Toss gently to combine.
  2. Bake, covered, in a 375 oven for 25 min. Uncover, sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and bake for 5 - 10 min more or possibly till heated through.
