Baked Aloo Samosa – Low calorie Recipe

Ingredients

  • One medium potato (5.3 oz) with the skin contains:
  • More potassium (620 mg) than even bananas, spinach, or broccoli
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup warm water (might need more)
  • Pinch of salt
  • For the filling:
  • 300 gm boiled potato (mash with a fork, this way you’ll have some chunks of potato which is the idea.)
  • 1/2 cup green peas (frozen or canned)
  • 4 medium baby carrot chopped (Frozen or canned)
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 green chili finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil to brush the samosas
