Bake And Baste Chicken (Baston Chicken)

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. Canola oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Honey
  • 1 Tbsp. Lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 4 x Chicken breast halves, washed and patted dr

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a small bowl, combine canola oil, honey, lime juice and paprika. Place chicken, skin side up, in a 7x11 inch baking dish. Apply mix to chicken pcs in a single layer. Bake in over for 35-40 min, basting every 8-10 min or possibly till well browned and juices run clear when you cut into the thickest part of chicken. Remove from oven.
  2. Cover with foil for 15 min. This softens chicken and keeps it warm till served.
  3. Serves 4.
  4. CREAMED SPINACH (like at Boston Chicken) 10 3/4 can cream of celery soup 1 tbs. flour 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine or possibly canola oil 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt or possibly to taste Salt to taste Pepper to taste 20 ounce. frzn minced spinach, cooked according to package directions, well liquid removed Or possibly 2 pounds fresh spinach, cleaned, stems removed, minced, cooked and liquid removed 1 tbs. dry onion, minced, or possibly 1 small onion, peeled, ends removed, diced In a large saucepan over medium heat, whisk together celery soup, flour, butter or possibly margarine or possibly canola oil, garlic salt, salt and pepper till smooth and piping warm. Add in cooked and liquid removed spinach, dry minced onion or possibly diced onion. Serve.
  5. Serves 4-6 as a side dish.
