Bacon, Mushroom And Potato Tart

Ingredients

  • Egg wash
  • 1 sht puff pastry
  • 1 lrg Onion, minced
  • 100 gm Smoky bacon, (4oz)
  • 100 gm Butter, (4oz)
  • 200 gm Field mushrooms, sliced (7oz)
  • 2 lrg Potatoes, sliced using mandolin
  • 1 x Crushed clove of garlic
  • 2 tsp Minced fresh thyme

Directions

  1. Place the pastry on a greased baking sheet. Saute/fry off the onion and bacon and small bits of garlic till softened. Saute/fry off the mushrooms in the butter and pour the bacon and onion over the pastry.
  2. Lay the potato slices down either side of the pastry and pour the sauteed mushrooms down the centre.
  3. Bake for 25 min in a preheated oven at 180 C/350 F/gas mark 5.
